What is Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)?
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. TMS is typically used when other depression treatments haven't been effective.

Dr. Nasri Ghaly and TMS
Dr. Ghaly has been practicing TMS therapy since 2004. He received his certification from Harvard Medical School and continued his studies at Columbia University. Over the years, he has performed thousands of TMS procedures with a wide range of patients suffering from different conditions. Dr. Ghaly is now one of the only physicians in the Upstate New York area to offer state of the art Deep TMS Technology. As well as practicing TMS therapy, Dr. Ghaly is a board certified psychiatrist with a vast and extensive knowledge in many other specialties. He is a licensed acupuncturist and also treats sleep related disorders at the Ghaly Sleep Center. Throughout his studies and broad experience, he has gained extensive knowledge of psychopharmacology and drug to drug interaction. Dr. Ghaly has become clearly recognized by his colleagues and the community as an expert in treating a multitude of psychiatric ailments. He not only has the wide-ranging experience to provide his patients with state of the art care, but has also become well known for his compassion towards his patients and treating them with the utmost dignity.
